Terms of Use
1. Who we are and what these terms are
These terms are an agreement between you and Dávid Hasík, a natural person in Prague, Czech Republic, who operates the Rando app under the brand Hasik Labs ("we", "us"). They are also the end-user licence agreement (EULA) for the Rando iPhone app. By creating an account you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use Rando.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data.
2. Adults only
You must be at least 18 years old to use Rando. You confirm this when you sign up, and your date of birth must be true. We delete accounts of anyone under 18.
3. Your account
- One account per person. Use your real first name, your real age and photos of yourself.
- Don't pretend to be someone else, and don't create an account if we have removed you from Rando before.
- Keep access to your email to yourself; you're responsible for what happens in your account.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings › Delete account.
4. Community rules — zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users
Rando has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. In your profile, photos, reach-out notes and messages you must not:
- harass, bully, threaten, stalk or intimidate anyone, or keep contacting someone who has said no
- post hate speech or content that attacks people for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation or gender identity
- post nudity, sexually explicit content, or send sexual content to anyone who hasn't clearly asked for it
- post or share anything involving the sexual abuse or exploitation of children — we remove it, delete the account and report it to the authorities
- share intimate images of anyone without their consent
- post violent or graphic content, or encourage self-harm
- offer or ask for sex for money, or promote prostitution, escort services or human trafficking
- scam, defraud or ask other users for money, investments or financial details
- advertise, spam, or promote other services or social media accounts for commercial purposes
- use photos of other people, impersonate anyone, or post false information about yourself
- share other people's personal information (such as their address or phone number) without their consent
- post anything illegal or that infringes someone else's rights, including copyright
- use bots, scrape the app, or try to break, overload or get around its security
Meet people safely: you are responsible for your own interactions with other users. We don't run background checks on users.
5. Reporting, blocking and how we moderate
Report: you can report any profile, photo, reach-out note or message from the menu on the profile or in the chat. Choose a reason and, if you think something is illegal, explain why. Anyone, including people without an account, can also report content to hasiktechnologies@gmail.com; please include what the content is and where it is (the person's name and what they posted), why you think it's illegal or breaks these terms, your name and email, and a statement that you believe your report is accurate and complete.
Block: you can block anyone from their profile or chat. Blocked users are never shown to each other again and can't contact each other.
How we decide: a person reviews reports, and we aim to act within 24 hours. We confirm that we've received your report and tell you what we decided. Content reported by several different users is hidden automatically until a moderator reviews it; that automatic step is the only automated moderation we use, and every final decision is made by a person.
What we can do: remove or hide content, limit who sees a profile, suspend an account, or delete it permanently. If we restrict your content or account, we tell you which content was affected, what we did, the facts and the rule (in these terms or in law) behind it, whether any automated step was involved, and how you can challenge it. We don't send this explanation for deceptive high-volume commercial spam, or when we act on an order from an authority.
Challenge a decision: if you think we got it wrong, reply to our message or email us within 6 months. A person who wasn't involved in the first decision will look at it again where possible. You can also turn to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body under Article 21 of the EU Digital Services Act, or to the courts.
We may also suspend users who often post clearly illegal content, or who often send reports that are clearly unfounded. If we become aware of information about a criminal offence that threatens someone's life or safety, we inform the police.
6. Your content
You own what you post. You give us a non-exclusive, free, worldwide licence to store, display and deliver it to other users only to run Rando, for as long as it's on Rando. You confirm you have the right to post it.
7. Rando Unlimited subscription
- Rando is free to use. Rando Unlimited is an optional auto-renewable subscription that unlocks the features described in the app before you buy. The price and period are shown in the app and the App Store before you confirm.
- Apple sells and bills the subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- It renews automatically for the same period and price unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period.
- Cancel at any time in iPhone Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions › Rando Unlimited. You keep Unlimited until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting the app or your Rando account does not cancel the subscription.
- Right of withdrawal and refunds (EU): because Apple is the seller, Apple handles withdrawal and refund requests under its own terms, including the 14-day right of withdrawal for consumers in the EU. Ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue refunds ourselves.
- If we change the price, Apple tells you in advance and, where the law or Apple's rules require it, asks for your agreement before you are charged the new price.
8. Licence to use the app (EULA)
We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the Rando app on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app, except where the law allows it.
You and we acknowledge that:
- these terms are between you and us only, not with Apple, and we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the app and its content;
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app;
- if the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app; to the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app;
- we, not Apple, are responsible for handling any claims by you or a third party relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws;
- if a third party claims that the app or your use of it infringes its intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim;
- you confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", and you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties;
- you must comply with any third-party terms that apply when using the app (for example, your mobile carrier's terms);
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, once you accept them, Apple may enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
Questions, complaints or claims about the app: Dávid Hasík – Hasik Labs, Prague, Czech Republic, hasiktechnologies@gmail.com.
9. Availability and liability
We work to keep Rando available and safe, but we can't promise it will always work without interruptions, that you'll meet anyone, or how other users will behave. We are responsible for harm we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, and for anything else for which the law doesn't allow liability to be limited. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for what other users do. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under mandatory law.
10. Ending the agreement
You can stop using Rando and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or delete your account if you break these terms, as described in section 5. If we stop running Rando altogether, we'll tell you in the app at least 30 days in advance where possible.
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, for example when the law or the app changes. For significant changes we tell you in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. If you don't agree, you can delete your account before then. Changes don't apply to disputes that started before them.
12. Law and disputes
Czech law applies. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country, and you can bring a claim in the courts where you live. For consumer disputes you can also use out-of-court dispute resolution: in the Czech Republic, the Česká obchodní inspekce (Czech Trade Inspection Authority), adr.coi.cz.
